You can volunteer, donate, learn about our local candidates, read local newspapers, and check out a few national news websites too. Curry County is the southermost county on Oregon's coast. Most of the population of approximately 21,000 people lives within sight of the Pacific Ocean. Traditional industries in the region are resource-based and include forest products, fishing, and ranching. As more people discover the mild climate and the exquisite natural beauty of our mountains and coastline, our communities are becoming retirement destinations. The names of our communities- from North to South- are Langlois, Port Orford, Ophir, Nesika Beach, Gold Beach, Agness, Brookings, Harbor. Political affiliation is approximately 35% Democrat, 44% Republican, and 21% Independent.
